The Sulis

The Sulis

Zona Sulis

The inspiration for the Sulis comes from an amalgam of different British guitars from the 70's. I wanted something punchy with a lot of focus. Effectively a punk and new wave machine that could be capable of much more than that. I've taken the original 35 pickups and altered the winding, they also have an aluminium front rather than the brass caged design of the original, this pulls in the range giving a much tighter sound. As usual, you can get this with a cherry or maple option on the neck but there is an Ash body option in a heavy-grain finish too.

Please see the specifications tab for full technical details

Sulis is probably one of the more famous Celtic goddesses, her name is linked to words for sun and eye, although she is an intriguing sun-goddess, since she manifests both the healing energy of the sun and the darker underworld aspect as well.
